"The circles, however large their arcs, close at last, reminding us of what we've seen
and why we came 'round again." ~ Paula Gunn Allen
Coloring Page Mandalas
Most of the coloring page mandalas below are designed by me. My designs are available in various home published coloring books, as well as a new coloring book that was published in November of 2011 called "Coloring Mandalas, Portals to Inner Peace" that is available on www.amazon.com. There is more on that on the coloring book page.
I enjoy coloring these pages with either Prismacolor colored pencils, or a variety of brands of colored markers. The key is to not just color in the spaces, but to layer those spaces with a variety of textures. I have over a hundred of these as this is how I got started in Mandala making. I still crave to get my coloring page fix in fairly often. These and the luminous mandalas are what I pack when I travel as the papers and the coloring mediums don't take up much suitcase space, they don't make a big mess while using them, and I can color them in small patches of time, as the muse directs. These make great souvenirs for those trips as well. Like an old song, or a sudden smell , gazing upon them can instantly take me to where I had traveled to in a heartbeat.

The old screen printer in me
can't resist putting image to fabric. I do fabric transfers onto muslin or light colored fabrics, embellish with embroidery or dimensional paints and make "stuff" out of them. This is my current purse. They are great on t-shirts, quilt squares etc. I also decoupage them onto little cardboard boxes that I get at the art supply store, and then I sometimes like to embellish them with genuine Swarovski crystals and dimensional paint.
These Coloring Page Mandalas can be ordered on an 8" x 10" archival quality print page (the mandala of course is more or less 8" ), blank greeting cards, book markers, or a transfer onto muslin quilt squares, that would be about 12" square, leaving 2" for trimming and a seam allowance . Go to "Prints Page" for more info on available items these designs can go onto. |
